Ⅱ.Basic Qualifications for Applicants
1. Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens.
2. Applicants must be in good physical and mental health, with good academic and moral performance.
3.Education and Age requirements:
For undergraduate programs, applicants must have a high school diploma and be under 25 years old.
For master’s programs, applicants must have a bachelor’s degree and be under 35 years old.
For doctoral programs, applicants must have a master’s degree and be under 40 years old.
Applicants under 18 must provide a notarized guardianship certificate from their guardian in China.
4.Language proficiency requirements
Chinese-taught programs:
Undergraduates: HSK Level 4 with a score of 180 or above.
Master’s/Doctoral students: HSK Level 5 with a score of 180 or above.
English-taught programs:
TOEFL 68 and above, IELTS 5.5 and above, or Duolingo 85 and above.
Exemptions:Students from English-speaking countries or those who have completed previous studies in English.
Ⅶ. Application Materials
1. Register online and fill out the application form website: https://csust.17gz.org/.
2. Highest education certificate. If not in Chinese/English, it must be translated and notarized.
3. Transcripts. If not in Chinese/English, they must be translated and notarized.
4. Passport photo page.
5. Non-criminal record certificate.
6. Language proficiency certificate (Only TOEFL, IELTS, and Duolingo are accepted for English-taught programs).
7. Financial guarantee statement.
8. Completed Foreign Physical Examination Form (see attachment for blank form and guidelines).
9. Study and research plan (required for graduate applicants; written in Chinese for Chinese-taught programs and in English for English-taught programs, not less than 500 words).
10. Academic recommendation letters (required for graduate applicants; two letters from associate professors or higher).
Note : All materials should be uploaded as high-resolution images or PDFs.
Ⅳ. Application Deadline
Applications are accepted from now until all spots are filled.
Ⅴ. Fees
1. Application fee: 500 RMB (non-refundable, regardless of admission outcome).
2. Tuition and accommodation fees: 7000-23,500 RMB/year for tuition, 4400-6000 RMB/year for accommodation.
Ⅵ.Scholarships
Conditional scholarships are available for outstanding students, covering tuition and accommodation fees. Current students must pass annual evaluations to continue receiving scholarships. Scholarships will be canceled for those who fail the entry medical exam, withdraw mid-term, fail to report on time without permission, or take unauthorized leaves.
Ⅶ. Application and Admission Process
Step 1: Online Application
Applicants register and submit applications online at https://csust.17gz.org/.
Step 2: Document Review
CSUST reviews applications and preliminarily screens qualified applicants.
Step 3: Academic Review
The relevant school conducts an academic review of preliminarily screened applicants.
Step 4: Entrance Examination
Applicants who pass the academic review take a unified entrance exam, which includes language and basic subject tests. The exam can be written or an interview.
Step 5: Admission
Confirm the pre-admission list and issue admission materials.
Notes:
1. Postage fees for mailing materials are borne by the applicant. Only personal applications are accepted.
2. International students must purchase insurance as required. Those who do not purchase insurance will have their admission canceled.
3. The exact registration date will be specified in the Admission Notice. Those who fail to register on time will have their admission canceled.
